First drone docking station installed in Switzerland
Dübendorf ZH/Lugano – The first automated drone docking station has been installed by Matternet at the EOC hospital group. FINMA approves first Swiss crypto fund
Zug – Crypto Finance has launched the first regulated Swiss crypto fund. This has now been approved by the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA). Pernet von Ballmoos and the SEBA Bank are the fund partners of the digital asset manager.
Hamilton develops new swab device
Bonaduz GR – The medtech company Hamilton has developed an automated device for nasal and buccal swab collection in collaboration with the Harvard spin-off Rhinostics. This enables sample volume to be increased for COVID testing while removing costs and headcount.
Synhelion agrees takeover of Heliokon
Lugano/Bergisch Gladbach - Synhelion has agreed a takeover deal for the German firm Heliokon GmbH. In so doing, the solar fuel pioneer will now be in a position to offer an end-to-end system for the production of fuels on the basis of solar power. SUPSI presents new Institute of Microbiology
Mendrisio TI – The new Institute of Microbiology at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland will function as a center of competence for the canton of Ticino. The focus will be on integrating a holistic vision of microbiology that encompasses humans, animals and the environment alike. The laboratory has been based at the Department of Environment, Construction and Design since 2014.
