Takeover of autonomous mobile robot manufacturer
Zurich - ABB has agreed terms on a takeover of the ASTI Mobile Robotics Group based in Spain. The Zurich technology group will establish a business unit for autonomous mobile robots (AMR) at ASTI’s headquarters. At its robotics factory in Shanghai, ABB will be opening an AMR hub for Asia.
Venice unveils 3D concrete printed bridge
Zurich/Zug – The first 3D concrete printed, arched bridge of its kind has been opened during the Venice Biennale of Architecture. It was designed by the Block Research Group at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich alongside other partners. The project was made possible by the expertise of Holcim.
