FQX raises 4.7 million dollars from investors
Zurich – FQX, a FinTech from the Greater Zurich Area, has raised a total of 4.7 million US dollars in investment from a seed financing round. FQX is the world’s first company to develop a blockchain-based infrastructure for electronic promissory note deals, also known as eNotes.
ETH academic subjects are best in the world
Zurich – The Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETH) has been ranked first in the world for its Water Resources chair in the Shanghai Global Ranking of Academic Subjects. Overall, eight of its subject areas are in the top ten of their category. Other Swiss universities also made the league table.
Dätwyler expanding production capacities
Altdorf – Dätwyler is expanding its production capacities in the canton of Uri and at other locations worldwide. The industrial group expects to invest up to 130 million Swiss francs in 2021. As a result, it intends to meet demand from vaccine manufacturers and Nespresso.

Schlieren ZH - Neurimmune AG from the Greater Zurich Area has presented positive preclinical data on a therapeutic approach aimed at treating ATTR deposits in the heart. The human antibody NI006 is said to be able to remove deposits of this kind.

Emergency Use Authorizations secured for COVID drug
Bellinzona – The COVID-19 drug developed by Humabs Biomed has recently received Emergency Use Authorization both in Europe and the USA. The drug is based on antibodies and prevents 85 percent of severe disease progressions. The developers are now waiting on the green light from Bern.
Investor group left impressed by Dimpora
Zurich - Dimpora has raised gross proceeds totaling 2.1 million Swiss francs as part of a financing round. The ETH spin-off has developed a breathable, non-toxic membrane for waterproof sports clothing.
