Messengers for cell communication discovered at ETH
Zurich – Researchers working at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETH) have discovered how genes and viruses in a cell of origin can be silenced in far-off tissues and organs as well. The research group identified the mobile messengers for this protective mechanism seen in plants and animals.  
Olympus and Cytosurge agree partnership
Opfikon ZH - Olympus has agreed a further partnership with the ETH spin-off Cytosurge. The objective of this collaboration is to market single-cell and CRISPR gene manipulation solutions in the Americas. The two partners have been also been working together for a year in the field of development.  
Investors won over by artificial muscles
MyoSwiss has raised a total of 2.2 million Swiss francs as part of a financing round. The spin-off from ETH Zurich is developing a suit of artificial muscles aimed at improving the quality of life for people living with disabilities that restrict their mobility.
