AVA Biochem and Michelin driving development of organic molecule
AVA Biochem has developed a technology that allows sugar to be converted into the molecule 5-HMF. This should replace petroleum-based chemicals. Together with the tire manufacturer Michelin, a production facility is now to be constructed where new products will be developed on the basis of 5-HMF.
Scandit shifts Yodel into higher gear
The UK delivery service company Yodel will now be using software developed by Scandit in order to scan package bar codes. This will allow Yodel employees to complete parcel deliveries using their own cell phones. Yodel plans to further expand this partnership with Scandit.
MSD to open office in Zurich
