Zurich/Munich - GOVECS is now making use of the expertise of c.technology. With the APIs and cloud-based mobility services from c.technology, the Munich-based manufacturer of the Schwalbe electric scooters in a retro design intends to allow its customers to access a wide range of innovative functions.

GOVECS und c.technology have agreed a collaboration. GOVECS is described in a press release issued by c.technology, a Zurich-based specialist for cloud and Software-as-a-Service solutions, as Europe’s leading manufacturer of e-scooters. Since 2017, GOVECS has again been producing the Schwalbe, while lightweight exchangeable batteries have been used since 2023. Production of the Simson Schwalbe had been discontinued in 1986.

Julian Brönnimann, Head of Products bei c.technology, underlines the transformative potential of this partnership: “Our powerful APIs and cloud-based services will enable GOVECS customers to unlock new levels of connectivity and access a wide range of innovative features right from their mobile devices”.

As part of the collaboration, GOVECS will launch a mobile app for eSchwalbe drivers, as the press release explains. This promises to offer “24/7 connectivity, real-time data access, remote diagnostics, and personalized riding experiences”. Moreover, this app will be seamlessly integrated in the eSchwalbe ecosystem.

Dealers and service partners also stand to benefit from the connected network: “By combining GOVECS’ e-scooter manufacturing expertise with c.technology’s cloud and software prowess, they are setting new standards for innovation in the electric scooter industry”. ce/mm
