The Mindfire Foundation has its headquarters in Zug and is focused on improving AI, because human involvement is still necessary in most AI applications at the moment. The aim of Mindfire is to better understand human intelligence and apply this insight to create human-level AI. To this end, Mindfire organises various events that bring together the greatest minds in the field. A blockchain solution protects the intellectual property of the experts taking part in these events. The propriety mindtokens are used to mark the ideas of participants, who receive voting rights but can also trade the tokens.
SingularityNET is a spin-off of U.S. technology company Hanson Robotics and is building a decentralised marketplace for AI services based on blockchain technology. This platform works with smart contracts to enable developers to upload their ideas. Then companies such as Hanson come into play, helping to bring the developments to life in robotics.
With this partnership, Mindfire and SingularityNET want to grow a talent pool of the leading minds in AI-relevant disciplines, it was reported in a press release. A second objective is to build a decentralised hub for AI services. Third, AI education is to be improved, enabling more companies to benefit from this technology. Finally, Mindfire and SingularityNET intend to make their tokens exchangeable.
The first collaborative events – Mission 2 and Mission 3 – were announced along with the partnership. It is already possible to register for the events, with a total of ten “missions” planned overall. Mindfire already successfully completed the first mission in Davos.
