Zurich – The robot SAM allows houses to be viewed online. SAM is fitted with cameras and can navigate its way through the rooms as the user wishes. The first robots manufactured by RealbotEngineering are now to be launched on the market.

The start-up RealbotEngineering from the Greater Zurich Area is aiming to revolutionize the way in which potential buyers view houses. It has developed a robot via which houses can be viewed online. SAM is equipped with high-resolution cameras and microphones in addition to various sensors in order to collect and feed back information from its environment. It can be controlled by users at the click of a mouse. Overall, it should save time for both renters and buyers, not forgetting realtors as well.

According to the information from startupticker.ch, development of the robot started back in 2018, while RealbotEngineering was then officially founded in February 2019. The platform has stated that its first orders were processed and sent out in June. SAM has been tested by real estate firms such as WinCasa and Livit. Furthermore, Privera has already successfully concluded a pilot phase with SAM and is now actively using models of this robot.

The robots designed by RealbotEngineering are currently offered for hire. According to the information available, the hire fee includes all costs for hardware and software in addition to all connectivity fees. Co-Founder and CEO of RealbotEngineering, Alexandros Tyropolis, commented in an interview with startupticker.ch: “If SAM enables a real estate firm to conduct seven fewer physical viewings per month, then the direct costs for hiring SAM will have already been amortized”.
