Mollis GL – The helicopter manufacturer Kopter has been certified as an official production organization by the Federal Office of Civil Aviation. Kopter is therefore now in a position to produce its SH09 helicopter model.

The Federal Office of Civil Aviation (FOCA) has issued Kopter with a Production Organization Approval (POA), thereby certifying the helicopter manufacturer as an official production organization, as detailed in a press release. Kopter is now authorized to produce its new SH09 helicopter model. The certificate was presented to Kopter at its headquarters and production site in Mollis, where Dr. Jan Nowacki, Chief Operations Officer of Kopter, took part in the handover ceremony alongside Urs Frei and Andreas Boss from FOCA.

Frei and Boss were quoted in the press release, stating how the certification represents confirmation of the fact that Kopter has fulfilled the highest aviation standards and possesses the capability, facilities, manpower, resources and quality assurance systems to produce the SH09 helicopter. Kopter described the certification as a major milestone for the company.

In an additional press release, the helicopter manufacturer covered its successful participation in the Singapore Airshow, which was held on February 11-16, 2020. The event confirmed strong interest among potential customers from the Asia-Pacific region. In this context, discussions with Korea Aerospace Industries have been continued, while official delegations from Japan, Singapore and Malaysia all visited the Kopter stand, which formed part of the Swiss Pavilion.
