Rümlang ZH – In May, Big Kaiser will open a state-of-the-art technology center at its headquarters in the Greater Zurich Area. The precision tools manufacturer is aiming to equip itself for Industry 4.0. The number of employees will also be increased.

According to a press release, Big Kaiser will open a state-of-the-art technology center at its headquarters in Rümlang in May. The company is also expanding its machinery as well as the number of employees. This will increase the production capacity in Switzerland by 3,000 hours per year.

Big Kaiser aims to be better equipped for intelligent manufacturing. By doing so, the company will be able to react more quickly to customer wishes and changing market conditions. CEO Reto Adam explains in the press release that the investments are possible thanks to the “outstanding growth” of Big Kaiser in 2018.

In addition to expanding in Switzerland, Big Kaiser is investing in logistics, infrastructure, and recruitment of additional staff at other European sites.

Big Kaiser develops, manufactures and sells high-precision tool systems and solutions for the metal processing industry. The company, founded by Heinz Kaiser in 1948, is based in Rümlang and is now a member of the Japanese BIG Daishowa Group.
