Until 10 August, a chatbot called Ladina can be contacted via the Facebook page of HTW Chur, where she is sharing information about the Study Week Abroad in Transylvania, Romania. Ladina is being tested as part of Marc Wiedmann's bachelor’s thesis. The student on the Multimedia Production degree programme is exploring the potential areas of application for chatbots in corporate communications. His findings reveal that “personalised conversation with the relevant target group is possible via automated channels and will become a reality in the near future,” HTW Chur reported.
According to HTW Chur, the digital transformation is opening up great opportunities for the canton of Graubünden, as it facilitates a connection with metropolitan areas, for example. Within the context of its strategic initiative, the university of applied sciences has therefore set itself the focus of “new learning”, “connectivity” and “new work”. Students will learn about digitalisation specifically as well as receiving support for bachelor’s theses such as this one on chatbots. The Multimedia Production course is a joint degree offered by HTW Chur and the Bern University of Applied Sciences.
