Zürich - The Fintech company TradePlus24 has raised 120 million Swiss francs. The main investors were venture capital firms of financial institutions. TradePlus24 specialises in providing working capital facilities for SMEs.
EraCal Therapeutics and dimpora win kick funding
Zurich – Three startups have been awarded kick grants by Venture Kick in this year’s final. Two of the winners – dimpora AG and EraCal Therapeutics AG – come from the Greater Zurich Area: dimpora develops technology for outdoor clothing, while EraCal Therapeutics has created an appetite-suppression pill.
Schaffhausen to welcome Hampton by Hilton hotel
Schaffhausen – The new Hampton by Hilton hotel is set to open in 2021 with 112 rooms. It will be part of a new multipurpose development in the Herblingen Business Park.
Lichtsteiner invests in keys that cannot be copied
Zurich – Swiss football player Stephan Lichtsteiner has participated in a financing round of UrbanAlps. The startup has developed a 3D-printed key that cannot be copied. The company raised a total of 2.5 million Swiss francs in the round.

Zurich – Leading venture capital companies have selected the 50 fastest growing European tech startups. Nine Swiss startups are among them, including five from the Greater Zurich Area.
Umbrella association for technology transfer founded
Dübendorf ZH – The AM-TTC Alliance has been founded in Dübendorf by 22 Swiss research institutions and industrial companies, including ABB, Georg Fischer and Siemens. This is an umbrella association for a total of 12 technology transfer centers that are planned for Switzerland.
Okomotive wins prize at Swiss Game Awards
Zürich - The Zurich-based studio Okomotive won the Main Prize and the Audience Choice Award at the Swiss Game Awards. The company was able to impress the jury with its game FAR: Lone Sails.
InnoTren on the move
Chur – On Friday, the Rhaetian Railway’s conference and innovation carriage will set out for its maiden voyage. The InnoTren concept was co-developed by The University of Applied Sciences Chur (HTW) and the innovations service provider Zühlke.
