Oculis moves closer to securing approval for innovative eye drops
Zug - Oculis has been given the green light to proceed with the Phase 3 trial for its most-promising product candidate. Patient enrollment for the trial has now been completed. The innovative eye drops to treat inflammation and pain following cataract surgery will be tested on 240 patients at 25 locations across the USA.
Researchers shed new light on growth of cancer cells
Zurich/Strasbourg/Baden - Structures outside of cells, such as fibers, promote the growth of tumors. Zurich-based researchers made this discovery as part of an international study. Up to now, research has mostly focused on the cells themselves. A project at Baden Cantonal Hospital should now provide further answers.
Miltenyi Biotech acquires lino Biotech
Zurich/Bergisch Gladbach - Lino Biotech has been acquired by the German biotechnology company Miltenyi Biotec. The headquarters at the spin-off from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich founded in 2020 will be converted for research and development.
