Zurich - Yoon Suk Yeol, the President of the Republic of Korea, has paid a visit to the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich during which he found out about quantum sciences. He was accompanied by seven of his ministers.

Zürich - Orderfox has established a platform on the basis of Artificial Intelligence (AI) via which procurement officers can search for suitable parts for high-precision machine tools, otherwise known as CNC machines. Post adds vonRoll Infratec’s e-trike to fleet
Zug/Bern - Swiss Post will now additionally use electric tricycles or trikes to deliver mail from the middle of January. The manufacturer, vRbikes.ch ag, is part of the Smart Urban Mobility division of the industry and data company vonRoll Infratec.
Special drones can land in trees and determine biodiversity

Portuguese crypto bank partners with Sygnum
Zurich/Lisbon - Bison Digital Assets, the crypto subsidiary of Portugal’s Bison Bank, has partnered with Sygnum for use of its platform for digital asset custody and trading. Sygnum’s B2B banking has already enabled 15 partners to create a regulated digital asset footprint.

Green’s first data center in Dielsdorf goes live
Dielsdorf/Lupfig - Operations at Green’s first data center as part of its major Zurich Metro Campus project officially commenced on January 17. The data center offers space for 80,000 servers and facilitates high-density computing. Construction work on an office building will also start in January, with two more data centers additionally set to follow before the end of the year.
ANYbotics collaborating with Leica Geosystems
Zurich/Heerbrugg - ANYmal, the automated, four-legged inspection robot developed by ANYbotics, will now be enhanced by an integrated, 3D scanner for location detection from Leica Geosystems. This creates a digital twin of inspected facilities not only more accurately and rapidly, but also much more cost-effectively.
