The new SCD30 sensor measures carbon dioxide (CO2) levels with a high degree of accuracy and stability. It also monitors humidity and temperature.
According to a Sensirion statement, CO2 is a key indicator of indoor air quality. Thanks to new energy standards and improved insulation, houses have become increasingly energy efficient. Air quality, however, can deteriorate rapidly, making active ventilation especially important. With the SCD30, customers can develop new solutions that increase energy efficiency while at the same time support well-being.
Sensirion will present its new solution at this year’s AHR Expo 2018 trade show, which will be held from 22 to 24 January in Chicago.
Sensirion, which is headquartered in the Greater Zurich Area, is a leading manufacturer of digital microsensors and systems. Sensirion sensors are commonly found in the medical, industrial and automotive sectors, analytical instruments, consumer goods and HVAC products.
