A new campus building has been established on the site of the Hochgebirgsklinik Davos hospital. It contains modern laboratory and office space as well as meeting and training rooms. The new facilities will be used to conduct cutting-edge research in the fields of asthma and allergies. The Swiss Institute of Allergy and Asthma Research (SIAF), the Christine Kühne – Center for Allergy Research and Education (CK-CARE) and the Hochgebirgsklinik Davos hospital are pooling their competences at the campus. The site will also be used to conduct training.
The Hochgebirgsklinik Davos reported in a press release that the completed building is “a key element” in positioning the hospital as “a world leading medical campus”. The hospital will be further expanded in the context of the Medical Campus Davos master plan. Planning is underway for new catering facilities and treatment centers as well as more space being created for patient beds.
