IT company DXC Technology from the USA has run its fintech competition in North and Central Europe for the first time. Four winners were selected from more than 45 candidates taking part. With Araneum Technologies and Squirro, two of the winners are from Zurich.
Araneum Technologies develops algorithms based on machine learning and artificial intelligence. These process and enrich raw debit and credit card transaction data, discovering key insights about the buying behavior of card users, for example. This solution could help companies identify their most valuable customers.
Squirro offers a cloud-based platform for the analysis of unstructured data. Thanks to augmented intelligence technology, Squirro transforms enterprise data into constructive insight for its customers.
The winners were chosen by DXC Technology in collaboration with the startup accelerator Plug-and-Play from the Silicon Valley. They took into account the maturity of the startups as well as the relevance and newness of their use cases for the industry. The reasonable added value of a joint go-to-market effort with DXC Technology was also considered.
Alongside Araneum and Squirro, the other winners were the fintech startup Bankify and Dataiku, which operates in France, Germany and the USA.
