Zurich – The fintech company AMNIS has closed a successful round of financing. It now wants to use the money to expand in Europe. AMNIS offers a platform that simplifies international payments for SMEs, among other things.

According to a press release AMNIS, a start-up from Zurich, has completed a series A round of financing led by the venture capital company Spicehaus Partners. The amount of capital raised has not been disclosed.

AMNIS operates a digital platform for SMEs for processing currency business, risk management, and international payments. This offers companies flexible hedging opportunities and free transfers to over twenty currencies. The platform is already used by over 400 Swiss companies. Almost half a billion Swiss francs were processed for SMEs in the past financial year.

Michael Wüst, CEO of AMNIS, is quoted as saying: “We are delighted to have achieved an important milestone for AMNIS with this round of financing. Our aim is to gain a foothold in additional core markets as quickly as possible with our solution.” The company aims to focus its expansion on the countries bordering Switzerland first.
