Rotkreuz - Switzerland Innovation Park Central, private investors and the Cantonal Bank of Zug have joined forces to establish the investment firm buildify.earth. This will make long-term investments in start-ups within the innovation park’s ecosystem that pursue circular and sustainable business models in the construction industry.

The newly founded investment firm buildify.earth will support promising start-ups from the ecosystem of Switzerland Innovation Park Central that focus on the development of products and services that comply with the principles of the circular economy and work to reduce CO2 in the construction industry. By adopting a long-term investment strategy, buildify.earth is striving to enable these firms “to enter the market and achieve sustainable growth in Switzerland and beyond”, further details of which can be found in a press release.

Switzerland Innovation Park Central founded buildify.earth in Rotkreuz in the canton of Zug in conjunction with private investors and the Cantonal Bank of Zug, which holds a third of the share capital in the newly formed company. The press release goes on to explain how buildify.earth believes in true partnerships and long-term relationships with all stakeholders. “For this reason, buildify.earth was not designed as another venture capital fund”, but rather aims to maximize its long-term impact by reinvesting at least half of all future proceeds back into the start-up ecosystem.

The Venture Desk was also founded to complement the investment firm’s mission. With the right contacts, this platform supports start-ups in managing their business. This should make it easier for start-up entrepreneurs to concentrate on growing their company. Switzerland Innovation Park Central and the Cantonal Bank of Zug are among the seven partners, with Aktionariat AG, the future-oriented fiduciary company Caminada Treuhand AG Zug and the network for innovation transfer in Central Switzerland (ITZ)/*zünder, as well as the law firms Kellerhals Carrard and Rentsch Partner AG, also on hand to provide support. ce/mm
