Zurich – BC Platforms is developing a digital platform for genomic and clinical data. Thanks to the launch of the platform at Helsinki University Hospital, patients are set to receive a more personalized treatment.

BC Platforms plans to create the world’s leading analytics platform for healthcare and industry by 2020, providing access to genomic and clinical data from more than five million people. The company has entered partnerships with global biobanks to collect the data, with the platform then facilitating its analysis and management.  

Now, BC Platforms’ digital platform is being implemented by Helsinki University Hospital (HUS), the biggest healthcare service provider in the whole Nordics region, reports a statement. Using the platform, the hospital will offer its patients treatment based on their genomic profile. According to BC Platforms, Helsinki University Hospital has been a leader in adopting precision medicine.
