Schlieren ZH – Systemcredit has raised a total of 400'000 Swiss francs in a funding round. The fintech brokers loans for SMEs on its platform. The funding will help it to expand its platform.

Zug – Cryptocurrency specialist SEBA Bank has agreed a collaboration with ED&F Man Capital Markets. Traders will consequently benefit from a custody and margin payment solution.
First patient treated with Orpha Labs' drug
Baar ZG – This week, the first patient was treated in Israel with a drug developed by Orpha Labs to combat the rare disorder leukocyte adhesion deficiency type II (LAD II). In particularly serious cases, a special program can be used to grant patients access to this new, highly promising drug even before it has been officially authorized.
Helvetia invests in start-up Taxly
Zurich/St.Gallen - The Helvetia Venture Fund has invested in Taxly, a start-up active in the emerging field of TaxTech. Its software is designed to allow users to complete and file tax returns within a matter of minutes. Taxly is now keen to expand by offering its product beyond the cantons of Zurich, Aargau, St.Gallen and Basel-Landschaft.  
Pharvaris seeks to generate increased IPO proceeds
Zug - The BioTech firm Pharvaris has increased the initial issue price of its ordinary shares for the company’s IPO in the USA. Gross proceeds are now expected to total approximately 165 million US dollars overall. In addition, Pharvaris has granted the underwriting banks an overallotment option.    
UZH develops plans for new center of dentistry
Zurich – Construction of a new center of dentistry at the University of Zurich (UZH) will be handled by the Boltshauser Architekten/Drees & Sommer working group. Its “Light Rack” project was chosen as the winning entry in an architect competition.    
Taiho Pharmaceutical establishes subsidiary
Zug – The Japanese company Taiho Pharmaceutical has founded a subsidiary in Zug. The new firm will above all focus on the development of cancer drugs and European commercialization activities.  
Corona drug effective against mutation
Schlieren ZH – Studies have revealed that the two potential anti-COVID-19 drugs developed by Molecular Partners have shown a therapeutic and preventative effect against the mutations first observed in the UK and South Africa.  
ETH research team develop 3D printed stents
Zurich – An ETH Zurich research team has developed a new type of bioresorbable airway stent for upper airway obstruction. They are individually adapted using a 3D printing process. This could greatly simplify the treatment in future.
