ETH Zurich remains among the best
Zurich – The Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETH) has achieved 14th place in the latest Times Higher Education university rankings. This means it is once again the best of the continental European universities. Four other Swiss universities are also included in the top 100.

Zurich/Winterthur/Bern – ANYbotics, bestsmile and reCIRCLE have been crowned the winners of this year’s Swiss Economic Awards. They impressed the jury with their autonomous robots, 3D printing techniques and reusable packaging.
Climeworks secures CHF 100 million
Climeworks has successfully concluded its funding round and raised a total of 100 million Swiss francs. The spin-off from ETH Zurich is developing air capture technology that removes carbon dioxide directly from the air.
Humabs Biomed administers coronavirus antibodies
Bellinzona – Humabs Biomed has treated the first patients with its antibodies against the coronavirus. It is hoped this will be administered to 1,300 patients by the start of next year at the latest, preventing their hospitalization. The drug could be launched on the market by mid-2021.  
Kuros Biosciences announces treatment with Fibrin-PTH
Schlieren ZH – For the first time ever, a patient with degenerative disc disease has been treated with Fibrin-PTH, which was developed by Kuros Biosciences. The patient was treated at a clinic in California.

Winterthur – The Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW) has inaugurated its new building “Haus Adeline Favre”. As the biggest education and research center for health professions in Switzerland, Head of the Education Department Silvia Steiner says this demonstrates a clear commitment to a strong healthcare sector. People living in the area will also benefit from the treatments on offer.  
Farmy raises CHF 10m for expansion
Farmy has raised 10 million Swiss francs in a new financing round. Switzerland’s third largest online grocery store intends to use the new capital to expand its e-mobile fleet and to develop its second mainstay as an IT service provider for organic producers.
