Ayre Group acquires majority in nChain with 500 million Swiss francs
Zug/London - Ayre Group based in London is investing up to 500 million Swiss francs in nChain, a blockchain company from the Greater Zurich Area. Ayre plans to accelerate the development of nChain and promote the commercial use of its 800 patents. Applications have already been made for an additional 3,000 patents.
Investors give ZuriMED 14.5 million Swiss francs
Zurich/Hong Kong - ZuriMED Technologies has raised investments amounting to 14.5 million Swiss francs in a series A funding round. The medtech company plans to use these funds to accelerate the development and market launch of its innovative surgical tools for minimally invasive soft tissue repair.
InSphero agrees distribution in the U.S.
Schlieren/Carlsbad - Biotech company InSphero and Advanced BioMatrix have signed a distribution agreement for the United States. This means that InSphero’s patented Akura plate technology will be available to researchers on the U.S. market.

Zug/Boston - Oculis has proven in a Phase 3 trial that just one daily application of its eye drops can significantly reduce inflammation and pain following ocular surgery. The topical formulation previously recorded positive results in the treatment of Diabetic Macular Edema.

Zurich/Edinburgh - Swissloop has won five awards at European Hyperloop Week. Swissloop also claimed the prize for the best system of the entire event with its new prototype for hovering, climate-neutral passenger transportation in electromagnetic tubes.
Helvetica Capital and Linus Fuchs invest in Chronext
Zug/Zurich - Chronext has welcomed two new investors on board: Helvetica Capital and Linus Fuchs. The latter is a watch expert who will also join the company as a new member of the Board of Directors. It was only in April that a Swiss investor consortium acquired a majority interest in the online retailer for luxury watches.
