Migros acquires the start-up bestsmile
Zurich/Winterthur - The Migros-Genossenschafts-Bund has agreed a takeover deal for the Greater Zurich Area start-up bestsmile. The acquired firm is a specialist in 3D-printed transparent braces. Following this successful exit, the three founders are set to withdraw from the operating business.
Steinfels Swiss lays foundation stone for new factory
Winterthur - Steinfels Swiss laid the foundation stone for its new production building in the Greater Zurich Area on March 30. The new building will increase the capacity of the Coop subsidiary specializing in sustainable cosmetics and hygiene products. Steinfels Swiss is investing 35 million Swiss francs in this.
Numab receives up to 258 million Swiss francs for license
Wädenswil/Osaka - Numab Therapeutics based in the Greater Zurich Area has licensed a multispecific antibody candidate against cancer to the Japanese company Ono Pharmaceutical. This has arisen as a result of a collaboration between the two companies. In return, Numab will receive up to 258 million Swiss francs.
ETH and UZH among winners of lunar robotics challenge
Zurich/Sassenheim/Paris - The lunar rover of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETH) and the University of Zurich (UZH) is one of the winners in a competition by the European Space Agency and the European Space Resources Innovation Centre. The rovers will enable further exploration of the Moon.
