Blackstone Resources to print solid-state batteries
Baar ZG - Blackstone Resources AG is working on the development of a new 3D printing technology to manufacture lithium solid-state batteries. The company has now achieved a first milestone in this project. Prototypes of the printed batteries are undergoing testing in conjunction with the Fraunhofer Institute.  
Prognolite raises fresh capital
Winterthur - Prognolite has raised a total of 1.25 million Swiss francs following a financing round. The start-up intends to use this fresh capital to expand its digital prediction tool for the gastronomic sector to include additional customer groups and to secure growth within German-speaking countries. Two industry experts are also set to join the Board of Directors.

Zurich – The city of Zurich has been placed third worldwide in this year’s Smart City Index. The report assesses the efforts and successes of cities in the introduction of smart technologies. Its assessment is based on the perceptions of residents in each city.
Crypto Valley thriving despite coronavirus crisis
The number of companies in Switzerland and Liechtenstein working on blockchain technologies increased to 919 in the first half of the year. They include six unicorns. The Crypto Valley, of which Zug is the heart, has therefore continued to grow despite the coronavirus crisis.
Kopter completes test flights
Mollis GL – Swiss helicopter company Kopter has successfully completed a test flight phase with its single-engine helicopter SH09 in Italy. The aircraft has now returned to the development facility in Mollis, where it will be further optimized.
