Zurich/Lausanne - The Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETH) and Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne (EPFL) are launching the Swiss AI Initiative. The aim here is to ensure that globally pioneering roles in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI) are not the sole domain of tech firms, while also affording Switzerland a degree of digital sovereignty with the help of the new Alps supercomputer.

Otelfingen/Oxford - Philochem and Blue Earth Diagnostics have examined their first three patients as part of a Phase 1 clinical trial. The trial aims to develop a small organic molecule for imaging applications that can selectively detect a range of metastatic tumors.

Bellinzona/London - Peptone, a company specializing in the field of translational biophysics that develops novel therapeutics against intrinsically disordered proteins, and the Institute of Oncological Research (IOR) have agreed a strategic partnership. This will focus on finding innovative drugs to combat prostate cancer.

Winterthur/Zurich/Au - Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW) and Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK) have developed the movement game ExerUp for rehab exercises to support recovery from cruciate knee ligament injuries. The FitTech start-up Sphery acted as practice partner for this project.
