Zollikofen/Zurich - Customers of the digitalization and IT service provider T-Systems Switzerland are to benefit from BLP Digital's solution for the automated processing of documents using artificial intelligence. Unlike comparable solutions, the system is ready to use within a few weeks.

Zurich/Frankfurt am Main - The regulated Swiss digital stock exchange, SIX Digital Exchange (SDX), is now using technology from the trading and brokerage firm DLT Finance, which has been licensed by BaFin in Germany. Its subsidiary DLT Securities will in future serve as a fully embedded counterparty for brokerage and trading.

Zug/Sulgen - Metall Zug and Miele are establishing a joint venture. Metall Zug will integrate its business units specializing in the disinfection and sterilization of hospitals, while Miele will contribute the Italian subsidiary Steelco. The joint venture is to be headquartered in Zug.

Zurich - Researchers from the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK) have developed a foldable applicator for the implantation of pacemakers. With 3Fold, the application time is significantly reduced and surgical hygiene improved. The 3Fold was named as the winner of the Design Prize Switzerland 2023.

Zurich/Basel - Researchers from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETH) have developed an Artificial Intelligence (AI) model that accelerates the development of new drugs and optimization of existing medications. To this end, the researchers are collaborating with Roche.

Zurich/Kortrijk - The Belgian hospital AZ Groeninge is set to introduce PIPRA’s cutting-edge technology. This can pre-operatively assess the extent of the risk that older patients might develop post-operative delirium. Furthermore, the two partners are now starting to develop a tool of this kind for intensive care patients.

Solothurn/Zurich - Migros, one of Switzerland’s largest retailers, will now also be testing Axino sensors designed to automatically measure the core temperature of food in the refrigeration systems of its cooperatives in Geneva, Vaud and Neuchâtel/Fribourg, as well as in Migrolino stores. The sensors have already been in use at Migros Zurich branches for two years now.
