The proximity to partners and some of its spin-offs in the Bio-Technopark Schlieren-Zurich will promote the transfer of research to practical application.

Bern/Zurich - PostFinance is to leverage Sygnum’s B2B banking platform and will now offer its customers a range of regulated digital asset banking services. The financial services unit of Swiss Post is thereby meeting a customer investment need uncovered through a market analysis.

Schlieren - Cutiss has presented the results of two studies investigating its skin substitute product denovoSkin. The safety of the product was demonstrated in the Phase 1 trial in children, while efficacy was the focus of the clinical Phase 2 trial.

Schlieren/Oberkochen - InSphero has received an eight-figure investment from ZEISS Ventures as part of a financing round. The biotechnology firm will put this fresh capital towards the commercialization of its technology for 3D microtissues and will seek to establish the world’s largest biobank for pharmaceutical research.

Zurich - Researchers from the University of Zurich (UZH) have developed an innovative objective for light microscopy. Instead of several lenses, it uses a mirror and a single corrective lens. This objective is more cost-effective and can be more widely used than conventional equivalents.

Zurich - Tenity has announced the successful closing of its Tenity Incubation Fund I. The fund is designed to support early-stage start-ups prior to their market entry. A second investment phase is scheduled for closing in the fourth quarter of 2023.

Munich - Switzerland filed a total of 9,008 patents at the European Patent Office in 2022, making the country once again the global leader for the number of patent applications per capita. In absolute terms, Switzerland ranks seventh worldwide.
