Freienbach SZ – The Maltese company Dating Group is taking over the dating app created by Once Dating AG for 18 million US dollars. The app helps people to find a partner using artificial intelligence.

Mask deactivates viruses at the touch of a button
Winterthur/Thalwil ZH – ZHAW researchers have developed a self-disinfecting face mask together with the company Osmotex. It is 99 percent effective against viruses and bacteria. Further possible uses could be in textiles in public spaces and hospitals.  
Green invests in new data campus
The data center service provider Green is building a data center campus in the Greater Zurich area. This is set to house three high-density data centers in addition to a business park. With this project, Green is aiming to promote Switzerland as a location for secure and sustainable data centers.

Bellinzona - The United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has authorized an Ebola drug developed by two laboratories based in the Greater Zurich Area. They were a vital part of the success of the clinical trials.  
Winner of the 2021 IoT Breakthrough Awards
Zurich – Akenza emerged victorious in the Industrial category of the global IoT Breakthrough Awards for 2021. Together with Microsoft, Akenza is supporting the city of Zurich in its efforts to network sensors in public buildings and spaces.  
Swiss renminbi hub is growing
Zurich - China Construction Bank opened a branch in the Greater Zurich Area in 2016. It has since been focusing on establishing a renminbi hub in Switzerland. It has now processed transactions totalling just under 600 billion Swiss francs. In addition, it has a total of 13 Swiss partner banks at its disposal.
Abacus invests in the digital bank Yapeal
Zurich/Wittenbach SG - The software firm Abacus has invested several million Swiss francs in the digital bank Yapeal. It is also planning to partner with Yapeal with the aim of forming a joint development team.
