Schlieren/Washington - InSphero, based in the canton of Zurich, and the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine have launched a joint award program. Five academic teams will be provided with InSphero 3D microtissues aimed at furthering the development or validation of 3D in vitro models.

Zurich/Birmensdorf - The ETH BiodivX team under the leadership of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETH) and the Swiss Federal Institute for Forest, Snow and Landscape Research (WSL) is one of the finalists in the XPRIZE Rainforest Competition being held over a period of five years. The ream is researching biodiversity with the help of drones and rovers. The competition comes with prize money of 10 million US dollars.

Chur - The University of Applied Sciences in Graubünden is opening a living lab in the Prättigau/Davos region on July 22. It will be established as a mountain region competence center with interested parties on site helping to solve regional challenges.

Winterthur - The NorthC Group is opening a data center in Winterthur. In so doing, the Dutch service provider is further expanding its footprint in Switzerland. The first customer for the new Winterthur location is the IT firm Kyndryl Switzerland.

Kemptthal - Young food and biotech companies can occupy fully equipped and maintained labs in The Valley from March 2025. The owners of the former Maggi area are fully kitting out the 1,500 square meters of the new House of Lab Science, which is looking for suitable renters for this space.

Zurich - The fintech company TP24, an international lender for SMEs operating out of Switzerland, has secured financing of 400 million Swiss francs. The investors are two of London's financial institutions - Barclays and M&G Investments.
