The rankings also include the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne, the University of Zurich and the Zurich University of Applied Sciences.

NTT DATA opts for Nexxiot cargo sensors
Zurich/Tokyo - NTT Data has placed an order with Nexxiot for more than 600,000 Cargo Monitors for shipping containers. The Nexxiot solution can be used to monitor transportation conditions and is able to supply data for automated cargo insurance payments in the event of damage.
Swiss consortium researching the origins of the universe
Lugano/Zurich - The Swiss National Supercomputing Center CSCS will receive and evaluate the enormous volume of data produced by the world’s largest radio telescope each year. It will be built in South Africa and Australia from December onwards. Swiss researchers from throughout the country are involved in the multi-nation project.
