Kloten/East Hartford - SR Technics, based in Kloten in the Swiss canton of Zurich, is now an official member of the global network for the maintenance of Pratt & Whitney geared turbofan engines. It has celebrated the official opening of both a workshop – for the disassembly, assembly and testing of these engines for the Airbus A320neo series – and Test Cell 2. The facility will reportedly create 400 jobs.

Kloten/Bern - The airline SWISS and the Swiss federal railway company SBB are extending their collaboration. This was previously limited to a five-year period and is now being lengthened indefinitely. It was designed to promote the development of links between railways and air travel. Four destinations in the Greater Zurich Area are being added.

Zurich - The NDR platform from Exeon Analytics offers comprehensive protection against cyber threats without having to read data. Its self-learning algorithms were developed at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich. The client base includes businesses such as the airline Swiss, PostFinance and WinGD.

Zurich/Dubai - Tethys Robotics is launching Tethys ONE on the global market. The underwater robot can operate both via drone control and fully autonomously. It eliminates risks for divers taking part in inspections and search operations in murky waters and strong currents.

Baar - CorFlow Therapeutics AG has raised €44 million of venture capital in a Series B funding round. The company plans to use the capital to finance its CoFl system for the treatment of microvascular obstruction in heart attack patients and trials aimed at gaining U.S. market clearance.

Zurich - The Innovation Sandbox for Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the Zurich metropolitan area successfully implemented five projects between 2022 and 2024. Building on this success, there are plans to implement new measures by 2026, helping to establish the region as a leading AI location.
