Kilchberg/Amsterdam - Cradle has raised US$73 million in a Series B funding round. The biotech startup in the canton of Zurich will use the funds to accelerate adoption by scientists of its AI platform for the artificial generation of proteins.
Beaconsmind to form Swissnet Group together with Swissnet and Lokalee
Wollerau/Berg/Dubai - Beaconsmind has agreed a takeover deal for Swissnet AG, Swissnet ICT and Lokalee. In so doing, beaconsmind is accelerating its strategic realignment from a single-product company to a comprehensive provider of IT infrastructure and SaaS solutions. In 2025, beaconsmind will be rebranded as the Swissnet Group.
RoBoa, Oxyle and Bystronic win the Swiss Technology Award
Zurich/Schlieren/Niederönz - The finalists of the Swiss Technology Award have presented their projects to around 1,000 attendees at the Swiss innovation platform Open-i. In the end, RoBoa was named as the winner of the Inventors category, while Oxyle and Bystronic emerged victorious in the categories of Start-ups and Industry Innovation respectively.

ABB to build components for ESA climate satellites
Zurich/Bremen/Paris - ABB has been commissioned to develop and build thermal infrared payloads for the European Space Agency (ESA). Two Earth Explorer satellites are to be equipped with these instruments for the ESA’s Harmony mission. The aim here is to deliver climate-relevant data from 2029.
