The circular economy was chosen as the theme of this year’s award, which comes with prize money of 20,000 Swiss francs. As the second prize-winner, the start-up publicXdata was selected as the best newcomer in a public vote.

The firm from the Greater Zurich Area will construct an energy storage system to supply the city of Calistoga with electricity during power failures. The system operates on the basis of batteries and hydrogen.

Zurich - TONI Digital has raised a total of 12 million Swiss francs from new and existing investors. The insurance and technology firm intends to use this fresh capital to enhance its platform for white label solutions with the addition of new programs in addition to expanding its technology team.
